Finally....... a visitor publication available in print, online, social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) and mobile device friendly which enables visitors to quickly and easily locate an activity the whole family can do while vacationing on Maui. After all, you came to relax on vacation not spend valuable hours of your vacation trying to find just the right activity!
Activities fromArts to Ziplines! Families on vacation can range not only in ages but also in physical abilities. From young families with children on school break to baby boomers enjoying their retirement years. Maui has activities everyone can enjoy, and now with Handi Guides you now have a resource to find activities perfect for your family's individual requirements or needs. Handi Guides lists over 300 activities provided by over 125 companies conveniently color coded by area of the island, type of activity listed alphabetically for easy reference and each company has provided us with their ability to accommodate physical limitations.
Before Handi Guides came along, the only way visitors could locate activities on the island would be to spend hours aimlessly searching on the internet only to see a few companies who have paid lots of money to be listed on the first ten pages 15 different times, flipping through pages of various publications, looking at various advertisements often not finding what they had hoped or find something interesting only to discover it was on the other side of the island! They could check with the concierge services available at their resort, possibly go to a timeshare presentation and be awarded a "FREE" luau for their several hour commitment, or possibly join one of those "get acquainted" functions at your resort's pool.
Handi Guides sees things a little different than other visitor publications. We believe everyone should have access to information, and have the ability to choose for themselves the best activity for their family's needs, desires or requirements, not the concierge who will direct you to the company who pays the highest commissions!
There is nothing wrong with this type of service; convenience is always going to be the choice for many, it just doesn't HAVE to be the choice for all. Also, this convenience-type- service is rarely free. It will of course be free to you the consumer, but activity companies pay booking agents a commission fee for choosing their company over others. Obviously this type of service has been around for many years and will be here for many years to come, however Handi Guides feels activity information should be available to everyone and anyone who wants to make their own decisions, especially when it comes to such a valuable commodity....your family! After all, you do not want to be booked with a particular company for the sole reason the booking agent received a really good pay off; but rather know that the activity company chosen was based on your family's individual needs and requirements, this will result in feeling confident that you found the right activity company for you!
Maui is a beautiful island and one that everyone should get the opportunity to experience, regardless of your physical capabilities. There are many activities here on Maui for everyone to enjoy, and finally there is a resource that enables you to locate them........Handi Guides!
